Road Crossing Permits

Please contact your Commissioner before submitting an application for a Road Crossing permit. For more information contact the County Judge's office at (432) 758-5411.

General Information for Gaines County road crossings and road bores:

  • Applications are due the Wednesday before Court
  • Fees for each hole bored:
    • Gaines County residents & businesses - $100.00 per road crossing
    • Out-of-county residents & businesses - $500.00 per road crossing
  • Work is permitted Monday through Thursday ONLY. No road crossing work is permitted on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.
  • A copy of the Order Approving Petition for Use of Portion of Public Road must be on-site when work is conducted.
